FOUNDING STORY
Conceived by Sonia & Sylvie, both indie beauty brand founders, Beautyque NYC was initially intended to open as a physical retail store in SoHo, NYC in the spring of 2020 when Sonia was challenged with her own brand.
The store was meant to be a destination where women could find personalized wellness, health and beauty solutions and safe, efficient products from purposeful brands offering a unique value proposition.
The COVID-19 pandemic hit us in March 2020, right when we were negotiated our lease. Beautyque's virtual storefront was launched on May 13th, 2020 with the exact same mission, that became even more purposeful than ever — supporting the self-care journey of women.
Within a few months, Beautyque NYC had built a community of 25+ brands and almost 10,000 beauty enthusiasts. At Beautyque, our brands and consumers began to find something they could find nowhere else: advanced technology, exciting programs, and a strong sense of community.
