FOUNDING STORY

Beautyque NYC was co-founded by Sonia and Sylvie, who are both founders of indie beauty brands. Originally planned as a physical retail store in SoHo, NYC in spring 2020, Sonia's own brand challenge led them to conceive a destination for women to find personalized wellness, health, and beauty solutions from purposeful brands offering unique value propositions.

However, the COVID-19 pandemic hit in March 2020, just as they were finalizing their lease negotiations. Undeterred, Beautyque launched its virtual storefront on May 13th, 2020, with an even more purposeful mission of supporting women's self-care journeys during these trying times.

In just a few months, Beautyque NYC built a community of over 40 brands and nearly 15,000 beauty enthusiasts. With advanced technology, exciting programs, and a strong sense of community, Beautyque offers something that cannot be found anywhere else.

Beautyque NYC was born from the passion and vision of its co-founder, who believes that true beauty comes from confidence, self-love, and taking care of ourselves. She understands the personal nature of beauty and how it can be one of the many expressions of love we use to take care of our skin, both inside and out. Her dream was to create a space where women could celebrate their beauty through knowledge, access to amazing products, and fun experiences. With a spirit of love, boldness, and togetherness, the co-founder of Beautyque NYC invites you to join her in exploring and embracing your own unique beauty.
